So you bought a new conaxsat receiver. Congratulations now lets set that Baby up shall we!!
Connection how to!!
1. plug in unit hook up satellite feed cable to "LNB IN" and "RF Out" goes to your T.V.
2. turn switch on the back of receiver and hit power button(I assume ya put batteries in remote:) ) and hit STB on the top of remote(if you find your remote not working on the receiver hit that button)
3. now it's time to add the bin files and .EXX.
4. goto your computer and plug in the usb stick that was provided in the receiver package. load on the latest .DTP *.**.upb bin file located here as I write this:
http://simplefta.com/showthread.php?t=1117
then load onto that usb stick the latest Patch file to get scrambled channels located here as I write this:
http://simplefta.com/showthread.php?t=1226
now u have the latest files to go onto your new receiver lets load them:

5. put usb stick into the usb port located in either front or back and with duo and trio they have them both.
once in goto menu, then USB hit ok
auto detect will pop up either hit ok or choose your port location and hit ok
load on the DTP *.**.upb file first scroll down to it and hit ok a little box will appear scroll to "Load as Boot Loader" hit ok let it load power off then power on "DO NOT DISTURBE THIS DOWNLOAD"
after this go back to USB in menu and repeat the steps this time loading the .EXX file this file will automatically load itself just hit ok when little window pops up and tells you it is going to load file.
it will power up again
time to go into DISEQ settings if you are using multisatallites
port 1 will say "none" hit ok and a list of sat will pop up, find yours and hit ok again repeat for every sat u have
now hit exit
go into channel search, hit 0000 for default pin
and locate your sats to scan and set up your lnb settings aswell in here..
goto bottom and scan channels
after all this is done exit out and goto time adjust hit ok hit ok again and find your time zone
after this exit back to tv screen and hit the "sat "button choose your satellite and wait for it to "autoroll" or come in !!

Now to save data
1. goto menu, USB again hit ok
auto detect or choose your usb location and hit ok
a colored menu will show up near the bottom choose the right color for "save channel data" and hit ok it will save as stp_data_ (and a bunck of numbers) i think it might be the date
now the only thing u have to do when loading a new patch file(cause bin file stays on receiver) is the diseq settings, and time adjust, the channel lnb, lnb freq setting stay the same!
load this data as u do the bin file and patch file

This also works for the Mini the only thing missing is the front panel light it's on the Duo and Trio but not the Mini, so no way of shutting it on or off
