This is a C&P from another site

There is some talk that Viewsat is coming out with an ethernet/IKS receiver within a few months similar to the Nfusion. This receiver will already be Nagra 3 capable and ready for anything Bev or DN throw at it. This may only be a rumor, but it makes good sense that they would go this route with the success of the Nfusion.

I'm a bit hesitant to post this because there is no information to support it, but I will based on the fact that it's in response to Hostels' post. Keep in mind this is 100% rumor at this time.

C&P from another site

TDG mentioned the following "BEV is wasting their time and money. The ViewsatEthernet-2000 will be in stores this May. Card sharing (IKS) will be up on Nagra3. A secure internet control word uplink center is already in place in North Korea - which can't be touched by Echo*. More details as I get them.Comments I've read on this post include speculation that Nagra3 support won't be available for our current models, VS will turn to this new model, and so will customers if they want FTA after the cardswap. As I said, rumour and speculation ... but I'd be interested to hear any thoughts on this, or if anyone has also heard it.

If it is true it is awesome news. I'm sure a lot of people will feel relieved to know that this upcoming card swap isn't the end to FTA. I think a lot of people are worried when there isn't really much reason to be.

Not to mention the fact that more stb's going IKS would lower the risk (if there is any risk now) of users being traced. Personally, I don't see how there would be more risk of being traced using IKS than there would be when you download files from this site. Both require logging on to a server and downloading bin files.

I talked to a few guys today that own an authorized vs dealer store. they said that a multiple nagra 3 boxes are in the works. they said that iks is not being spoke of as an option as of now. many viewsat distributors do not support the idea of ip addresses and internet access to boxes. the theory behind their thoughts is that it is possible to ping the boxes and send packets containing viruses and potential for even more malicious behavior from dn and bev. that's just what i have been told. also, with the new nagra 3 boxes, there will be very affordable hd boxes coming. so keep your eyes and ears peeled for info.

I agree with the Virus and other Malicious files when dn and bev gets more wind of this, this is something that could be implimented into there ecm's when they decide to do this the fact that they probably have this technology already is reality we will wait and see!!
