strikelightting, actually have just notebook and doesn't have rc232 conector. I am lloking to find desktop has that conector and I'll try and will inform you.

I did what you said, but, when switch power on the stb at same time holding power on front, just show up boot and it sttop there it doesn't come up eith StartUp and after 0000 even I hold it for min-two! When I restart from switch on the back of stb without holding power button on the front it show up: BOOT for sec STARTUP after A0000 and start for sec to load but again show up 000 and again BOOT e so on! Any other idea?

did you try loading the factory bin?

you should be able to load with a flash drive

Finally it worked with 2.39 bin, jason sugested.
I was doing wrong with loader and ports. Here is expl for others.
I did everything said, strikelightning, except holding power button up front.
Actually I have everything back and stb is working.

I have a captive works 800, haven't used it since summer. Would anybody be able to tell me how I get it up and running again, please and thanks. Also, should I be on Bell or Dish Net?
