Stuck in boot
Need help, have a viewsat pro that is stuck in boot. Tried unplugging it, nothing seems to work. Haven't downloaded any new files, don't know whats going on with it? Any advice would be very helpful.

Re: Stuck in boot
I had a similar problem with my VSMAXHD a while back. Tried all kinds of fixes & here is what worked for me:

Re: Stuck in boot
No, I finally used the last method described...a usb stick with the unzipped file.
With everything disconnected except for the usb drive boot the stb from the back with the master power switch.
I looked up that model & it does have usb ports to load files & that could work for you too.

Re: Stuck in boot
Okay, I've tried everything, even took the cover off and check out the inside, to see if there was anything odd looking. Nothing, maybe I'm downloading the wrong fix needed. Any ideas from anyone. Please help.

Re: Stuck in boot
Did you try the cleaner file?
That stb doesn't have as much support at viewsatusa.com as the other models.
Have another look at the old furum threads for Viewsat stbs. Maybe someone else has an idea.............anyone?

Re: Stuck in boot
I didn't forget about ya...I just opened my MaxHD up to see if there is a jtag possible. I found a double row of 20(2x10) solder pads along one side of the circuit board. That 'might' be where a jtag could be soldered in to load files but I've never had to do that with mine.
Look for jtag discussions in the viewsat threads maybe.
The honest answer is - I don't know.

Re: Stuck in boot
try loading the factory file with a 232 null cable and loader.
